A Family Business
In 1950-something, Maurice Cartwright set up the Colley Fold Turkey Farm on a small patch of land in Outwood, Wakefield. The business grew and developed into the Stanacre Poultry Co. Ltd. we know today. Now run by Maurice and Gina's son, Daniel, Stanacre Poultry Co. Ltd. continues to provide local restaurants and businesses with poultry, as well as retail customers every Christmas and throughout the year.
Our Turkeys
We think that happy turkeys taste better! With this in mind, for the first six weeks of their lives our birds are kept in an enclosed building for warmth and comfort. They are then moved into spacious open fronted barns with plenty of room to move around freely. Our free range turkeys also have access to open fields where they can roam around outside.
